Notes: In their will of 1819 his parents willed to him, at a valuation
of 60 000 guldens, their farms of which he was already the
manager, Bloemendal, Overveen and Schilpad that they had
received from his grandmother, Maria Fick, and also new
land which they had bought up against the Simonsberg.
In 1850 Overveen and Schilpad were still held by Schalk Wm.
van der Merwe, but Bloemendal seems to have gone.
