All Saints Church - the churchyard
The church seen from the south, looking across the many tombstones in the churchyard.

Although there are many tombstones here from as far back as the early eighteenth century most are today almost totally illegible. Luckily for us they were transcribed in 1882 and published in Sussex Archaeological Collections volume 40. The Hastings and Rother Family History Society is planning to republish them.

At the east end of the church lie the Ball family graves, shown here in the middle distance to the right of middle.
