I have added what I have been able to find from records available to me.

married (1) Jan Groot bookkeeper on the ship, De Oude Zijpe 5 born Hoorn 6 died 31 July 1717, ? De Oude Zijpe wrecked at Mauritius 7 Notes: Interestingly enough, there appears to be no record of the ship De Oude Zijpe calling at the Cape in March 1715 when their marriage is recorded in the Cape marriage registers. Its last recorded call at the Cape was May 1714. Perhaps he left the ship there. His date of leaving the service is given as 02-12-1716, place not stated. Was that, perhaps, the date of his death?
