Anna Catharina Rigman Van Weij 1 born 1686, at the Cape 2 baptized 15 September 1686, Cape Town 3 died 1777, Waveren 4 will dated 14 April 1777 5 Notes: Although the Weeskamer granted permission for her to marry since she had 'already reached the age of 14 years' her baptism would seem to indicate that she had rather reached her 14th year, and was, in fact just 13 years old. By the time their children were being baptised she was known as Anna Catharina van der Wey. According to the request filed by Pieter van Heerden before the Council of Policy on 5th March 1720, she had abandoned her husband's farm, Hase Craal on the Berg Rivier, shortly after his death in 1714.
