According to the 1661 will of Josijna Willemsdr. Tol, he sailed in
Dec. 1659 on the ship De Walvis from Amsterdam to the East Indies

Bob Kernkamp tells me that he was a dutch reformed preacher in
Poortugaal-Hoogvliet (1647-1655), Poortugaal (1655-1660) and the
East Indies (probably in Batavia) from 1660. He remarried (Batavia)
1662 Maria Poth, widow of Ds. Johannes Roman, Dutch Reformed
predikant.

Notes: She was left a vegetable garden outside Delft by
the will dated 1663 of her Aunt, Josijna Willemsd Tol.

In the Weeskamer records of the adminstration of the estate
of Jacob Alewiins Tol, she is described on the 22 September
1683, as being married to Adriaen Hoogendijk.
