Muster Rolls of employess VOC VC 39, vol 2, page 235, 1699
Carel de Braak v. Caspel soldaat, and yet, in the marriage
entry of 1691 he is described as a burger of Cape Town and
in the muster roll of 1695 he and his wife are listed among the
free settlers living in Cape Town district.

Apparently returned to the Netherlands around 1708.
