# The parents of Johannes Basson Matthijsz In the inventory of his estate, drawn up after his death, his name is given as 'Jan Basson Matthijsz.' as also in some of the entries of baptism of his children. Their first child, Martha, had as baptismal witnesss her parental grandparents, and the second child, Johannes his mother's mother and her eldest brother.
