Lysbetge Dircx
Dirck Tonisz. van der Piet 1
blacksmith (1619) 2
of Molslaen, Delft
and 1655-1661 in the Coornmaart
 3
died December 1660, Delft 4
buried 1 January 1661, Oude Kerk, Delft 5
will dated 9 June 1658
Notes:
In his will, dated 15th June 1658, he names his children as:
Pleunis, Gerrit, Anthonij, Elisabeth married to Jacob Alewijnsz Tol,
Engeltgen and Arijaantgen van der Piet.

He owned a grave in the St. Joris Kapel of the Oude Kerk, Delft. These
graves could take several bodies. When necessary, the bones of the
existing inmates were removed from their coffins and rehoused in
small coffins, so that room was made for the new arrivals. When this
grave was closed in 1714 it had had at least 8 people buried in it.

On the 15th February 1716 this grave was left to the church by the
current Van der Piet, who is described as the City Blacksmith.

Applonia van der Piet born 1624
baptized 26 July 1624, Nieuwe Kerk, Delft 8

Notes: The Nieuwe Kerk baptismal register reads:

1 kint Applonia, vaeder Dirck vander piet, moeder Geritgen pleunen ,
getuijgen Teuntgen Wijbrants, Willempge Anthonisz

I have checked the Delft online index: there is no other entry for the
name Gerritgen pleunen or Teuntgen Wijbrants.

I think the person doing the baptism was either drunk or very deaf
and that the names should be Arientgen Pleunen, Trijntge Wijbrandts
and Willempge Theunis - these would be the mother, the grandmother
and the aunt.

Going even further, Applonia is not named in her father's will of 1658
whereas there is a daughter called Arrijantgen for whom there seems
to be no baptism in Delft. Is this perhaps her?

Lijsbet Dircx van der Piet 1626-1692

Grietge van der Piet born 1634
born 1634, Delft 9
baptized 29 October 1634, Nieuwe Kerk, Delft 10

Notes: Grietge is not named in her father's will of 1658 so presumably died
before this date.

Anthonij van der Piet born 1636
born 1636, Delft 11
baptized 13 January 1636, Nieuwe Kerk, Delft 12

Arrijantgen van der Piet

Notes: She is named in his will and is the last in the list of children.

An Adriana van der Piet is a witness at the baptism of the eldest
child of Lijsbeth van der Piet and Jacob Alewijnsz Tol in 1647.
