Johannes van den Bosch 1
died circa October 1693 2
Notes:
He was a widower when he married Cornelia Helmes.

The inventory of his deceased estate lists a house and garden
situated in the Tafelvalleij (today Cape Town) which had been
bought in the last two years or so (the last payment was still
owing) from Willem van Wijk, valued at 1500 gulden, as well as
300 sheep, three beasts of pulling, half of a wagon, the other
half owned by Jan Marschalck, 3 horses (2 ruijns and 1 mare).

Also a good collection of household furnishings, the total valued
at 3000 guldens, not rich, but not badly off, and not too many
debts.

Johannes van den Bosch 7 died circa 1713
died circa 1713, (assumed)

Notes: Mentioned in 1713 in the will of Corneila
Helmes and Arij van Wijk as being still living at that date, he
first appears in the muster rolls of 1708 and is mentioned in
the Opgaafrollen of 1709 and 1712 as a single man but the
last mention of him in opgaafrollen and the muster rolls is in
1712. I would assume that he either died during 1713 (as did
so many other people at the Cape as a result of the smallpox
epidemic of that year) or that he left the country at that time.

But, there is a Johannes van den Bosch as orphan on the books
of the Weesmeesterern (MOOC 18/2) in January 1718.
