| It is noteworthy that the malting industry in Burwell must have been a very profitable one in years gone by. There are no fewer than nine malting houses in the village: Dunn's, Carter's, Fuller's, the Parsonage, Harding's, one at Burnt Yard, two at Jerusalem opposite and one at Sabberton's beyond St Andrew's church*. | |
