The IGI site of the Church of Latter Day Saints
Always be aware, when using IGI data, that most of it was provided by people like
you and me and may well not be correct. Much, particularly among the South African records, has merely been copied from standard genealogical reference works. The IGI is by no means the ultimate reference - it needs checking and corroborating with the facts as contained in original records. The parish register extraction records are generally pretty reliable but still need confirmation by checking the original parish register (or microfilm of) if at all possible. |
