John Fysh 1
gentleman (1865)
of 2 Mill Fleet Terrace, Kings Lynn
born circa 1789, Middleton, Norfolk 2
died 10 December 1866 3
will dated 20 March 1865
and proved circa 1867, Principal Probate Registry, under £7000
Notes:
The 1851 census lists a John Fysh aged 62, fund holder, living at
2 Mill Fleet Terrace, Kings Lynn St Margaret, with his wife Sarah
Fysh aged 52. He was born at Middelton and she at Grimston.

In his will dated 1865, he leaves a legacy of £2000 to be
invested to produce the yearly sum of £50 to be paid to his
housekeeper, Sarah Land, for life.

In the Abney Park Cemetary, Hackney, there are a number of
people named Fysh buried, including one of the sons of John
Land Fysh. Among these people is:

Fysh, Sarah Land, buried 24 April 1879, aged 80y

this would tally very well with Sarah Land mentioned above.

married

Sarah Land
born circa 1799

John

children of John and Sarah Fysh

John Land

Notes: This child is pure conjecture.

John Fysh, in his will dated 1865, leaves a legacy of £2000 to be
invested to produce the yearly sum of £50 to be paid to his
housekeeper, Sarah Land, for life.

This legacy is left to John Land otherwise John Land Fysh, late
of Kings Lynn, hosier and now of Hackney.
