1 Kendle Family information, John Picot, email: 24 July 2001 I've spoken to my father and he confirmed that his grandfather (Frederic Wellesley Kendle) was a military doctor whose highest rank was Lt-Colonel and he was in charge of Chiswisk (see last e-mail) during Second World War (amazing given his age but apparently he was a remarkable old gent - a poet and woodcarver inter alia). My father doesn't have details of his grandmother (Frederick's wife) but thinks her maiden name was Mollison (or similar).
