Wouter de Vos 1 of Libertas, Stellenbosch 2 born Groenlo 3 died circa September 1731, (assumed from date of inventory) 4 Notes: He also owned a second farm at Riebeeck Casteel, called Dassenheuvel, listed on the the inventory drawn up after his death, during October and November 1731. From this document it can be seen that they farmed in an extensive way and the estate he left was a large one. The house on Libertas consisted of the usual Voorhuis, a larger room to the left and three small rooms to the right, a pantry in the passage and another pantry in the kitchen, between them containing a huge array of kitchen equipement. The second farm had a new house and an old house. His children are given as listed in the above inventory.

In her will dated 19th July 1735 his mother set aside 2147 guldens for him in lieu of his paternal inheritance and nominated as guardians Jacob Cloeten and Willem Morkel
