Thomas Billing 1
carpenter (1721) 2
of Weasenham All Saints 3
born 1655
baptized 30 September 1655, Weasenham All Saints, Norfolk, England 4
died September 1721
buried 28 September 1721, Weasenham All Saints 5
will dated 17 September 1721 6
and proved 3 October 1721 7
Notes:
On 31st May 1738 Thomas Billing, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth
Billing, appeared before the Manor Court of Weasenham East Hall
to report the death of his father and his mother who had been copy
hold tenants of this Manor, the ownership having been for both their
lives. He is described as their eldest son and heir and of full age.

It is then stated that the said Thomas Billing and Elizabeth his wife
took up ownership of the land, 3 roods of copyhold land parcel of a
close called the Bullyard, on the 3rd day of January 1687/1688.

The above seems reasonable proof that Thomas Billing, the carpenter
and husband of Elizabeth, is the same person as the Thomas, son of
Thomas and Susan Billing who was baptised in 1655 and whose will
was proved on 8th November 1687 to her son Thomas Billing.

In his will of 1721 he mentions his wife Elizabeth and his children
Thomas Billing, Ann Stairs, James, William and John Billing.

mother, Susan Billling, in December 1683, so perhaps she had
died before that?
