Notes: In his will of 1785 he stated that he had never been married
and that he had no parents living.

In 1750, presumably having been appointed to his father's vacant
positions in the Drakenstein Congregation, he petitioned the Council
of policy, asking to be relieved of his post of 'Voorlezer' on account
of his continuous indisposition and to be granted burgher papers, but,
for the reasons above, to be excuses all burgher duties.
