Willem Jacobsz. Tol surgeon (chirurgijn) 1 died circa March 1622 2 buried 7 March 1622, Oude Kerk, Delft 3 will dated 30 November 1621 Notes: His portrait appears in a group painting, The anatomy lesson of Dr. Willem van der Meer painted by Michiel and Pieter van Mierevelt in 1617 which can be found in the 'Oude en Nieuwe Gasthuis' in Delft. Willem Tol, with a long beard and no collar visible, is to the right (when viewing the picture) of the anatomist. (Information supplied by Bob Kernkamp) The children who lived to adulthood are listed in the order given in a sale contract dated 22nd September 1644 (Delft, Gemeentearchief, Oud Notarieel Archief, Willem van Assendelft, 1861-2047).

When he and his wife made their joint will on the 26th October 1655 he was described as 'sick in body and confined to bed', his signature a dreadful, shaking scrawl. Her mother's will lists her beteween Josina and Ariaentjen, and her sister Josina's will lists her three siblings as Eefje, Jacob and Ariaentjen. There is a note of relative of Mr Willem Tol, surgeon being buried in the Oude Kerk 5th July 1622, which might well have been this child.
