Thomas Marsters
of Gaywood, Norfolk 1
born circa 1773 2
died 9 August 1843 3
buried 18 August 1843, Gaywood, Norfolk 4
will dated 15 May 1843
and proved 14 March 1844, at Kings Lynn to Elizabeth Marsters | Notes: | So far there is no absolute proof that this Thomas Marsters was the son of Thomas Marsters of Bawsey, but we do know, from the will of the latter, that he did have a son named Thomas alive in 1811.
This Thomas Marsters is the right age and his marriage entry in the register of St. Stephen's, Norwich, records him as Thomas Marsters the younger of the parish of Bawsey.
When their daughter, Anna Maria, was baptised at Castle Rising in April 1800, the couple were described as 'of Bawsey'.
According to his obiturary notice in the Lynn Advertiser of 15th August 1843, he was the Lynn reporter for the Norfolk Chronicle ... and, from a long life of study and observation his mind was enriched with the literature of the day.
