Notes:
In her will dated 1747, Elsie van der Merwe expressed her wish that
her farm on the Vier en Twintig Rivieren, called 'Houd Constant',
should pass after her own death, to her daughter, Maria Magdalena,
wife of the farmer, Willem Burger.

He in turn, in his will dated 12th November 1770, desired that this
same farm, 'Houd Constant', should go to his eldest son born of his
marriage with Maria Magdalena Burger.
