6 Thwaites, Lesley - email communication, information received 2004 James Stonham of Iden in Sussex married John's younger daughter Charlotte, by licence dated 10th December 1819 in the church at Stone in Oxney on 13th December 1819. The marriage was witnessed by John Thwaites and Mary Stonham and the service was performed by William Dixon, the curate. (Again, I have a copy of the marriage record)

James Stonham died 25th February, 1868, aged 79. Will - Thwaites, Mary, widow - 1803, date 20 January 1803 and proved 4 May 1808 to Thomas Thwaites and John Thwaites, East Sussex Record Office, A70 p.274 unto my said grand-daughters Elizabeth and Charlotte the daughters of my said son John Thwaites a cambric apron and a laced handkerchief each I give
